The Unique Welding (UWA) journey started over 50 years ago, and since its inception as a small welding equipment reseller, the company has grown into South Africa’s largest independent gas and welding products developer and distributor.
UWA’s reach now spans across the country and into Southern Africa, with a 14-branch network and extensive local and global partnerships. Along with the broadening of our reach, we have extended our focus to providing full turn-key solutionsfor our customers.
By harnessing the experience of our team, and the expertise of our key partners, we are able to assist clients in selecting the best equipment, improving the efficiency of their facility (and thus reducing welding costs), and therefore improving their productivity. UWA also has an austere standpoint when it comes to safety, and insist on providing our customers with equipment adhering to an array of international safety standards.
UWA has developed an elite range of Flagship products under our Thermamax® brand. Spanning from top-of-the-range gas and safety equipment (Phoenix Range), to our premium-performing MIG machines (Apollo Range), TIG machines (Griffin Range), MMA ARC machines (Pegasus Range) and soon-to-be-revealedPlasma machines (Zeus Range). These brand-new ranges were developed from scratch together with our key suppliers, and boast the ultimate in new technology, quality and safety standards. Furthermore, we offer these ranges, which rival the specifications of our top international competitors, at incredibly affordable prices. Pound-for-pound, it will be difficult to find equipment of better value anywhere in the world.
Not only has UWA polished our product line, but we have partnered with international gas giant, Air Products, and are proud to call ourselves their biggest gas distributor in South Africa. This 40 000-cylinder strong partnership affords us the ability to custom-match gas mixtures to our machines. We are now able to provide our customers with the perfect gas mixture to suit their specific application.
